2.24Loads

Loads can be applied to members in the form of forces, moments, and temperature effects, and to joints in the form of forces, moments, and known displacements. All applied loads must be categorized into load cases that can then be factored and combined into load combinations. The modeled structure is finally analyzed under these load combinations and the resulting forces, moments, displacements, and rotations are presented for each load combination.
