3.15Importing File
If you create the model geometry using AutoCAD (Release 9 or later), you will be able to import those files into spFrame using the File/Import command. Imported files must be saved in the DXF format. The drawing should be generated in AutoCAD in the 3-D mode using 3-D lines, with the DXFOUT option selected. Also note that the Z and Y axes are switched in AutoCAD.
•From the File menu, select Import. The dialog box of Figure 3-4 appears.
•From the LIST OF FILES OF TYPE drop down list, select DXF FILES. All files with a DXF extension contained in the current drive and directory are displayed in the FILE NAME list box.
•To open a file that exists in another drive or directory, select the drive or directory from the DRIVES drop-down list or the DIRECTORIES list box, respectively.
•From the FILE NAME list box, select the file to be opened, or type its name in the text box.
•Choose the OK button.
