5.31Create and Edit Surface Loads

Working in the XZ plane (floor), panels may be drawn and surface loads (force per unit area) may be assigned to those panels. spCad computes the tributary area for each member attached to a panel, along with the equivalent member load. These member loads may then be added to the Member Loads definitions to be applied on the members.

•From the Options menu, choose Surface Loads. This command is not available if no planes and no load cases are defined.

Surface Loads window is opened and the CHANGE LEVEL dialog box is displayed. For more information on the Surface Loads window and the Change Level command refer to Working in the Surface Loads Window in Chapter 7.
