Educational Events
PCA Annual Professors' Workshop
The Professors’ Workshop is designed by the Portland Cement Association (PCA) to provide faculty in engineering, architecture, and construction management programs the tools to teach the latest developments in concrete design, construction, and materials. The week-long session includes networking opportunities to exchange ideas with professors from many universities.
The PCA Professors’ Workshop is offered annually in July at the PCA/StructurePoint Headquarters Campus in Skokie, Illinois. This year introduces a new format which includes tracks covering:
- Engineering and Economics of Concrete Buildings
- Design and Construction of Concrete Bridges by the AASHTO LRFD
- Concrete Materials Properties
- Design, Construction, and Performance of Concrete Pavements
Regional promotion groups and other allied industry associations from the US and Canada may provide funds to faculty members to help offset the cost of registration, travel, and room and board. PCA and StructurePoint can assist in coordinating with potential sponsors. The cost of registration for the workshop includes all hand-out materials, resource literature, lunches, receptions, and some evening dinners.
The workshop will be held at the PCA Headquarters in Skokie, Illinois. Laboratory demonstrations will be conducted at CTLGroup. A software reception and forum will be coordinated and sponsored by StructurePoint.
